I agree with you. Money cannot buy happiness. You can have all the money and objects and toys in the world and still not be happy.
It is the people around you. It is the attitude you have. It is, for me, having God in my life, my friends, my family, my boyfriend. Having a job that I enjoy is a great thing. It doesn't have to be something that makes millions of dollars, no. It has to be something that I like doing and the people I work with and the patients I work with. I work in the health care field and it is rewarding to see them succeed and go home to where they want to be.
You can ask the richest people what makes them happy. Most say it is the family, not the money. Most people that have a lot of money are lonely. I wouldn't want to win a large amount of money because I know that I would suddenly have "friends" come out of the woodwork. I would like to in order to help my family out, for that reason only. If i did, I wouldn't go and buy a bigger car or bigger house. I would pay off my debt and help others.
I have been poor growing up and I never knew it. It taught me that hard work is not bad. It taught me so much that I could write a book. If you love your job, and you are making it ok, you do not have to pursue anything bigger unless you want to.
Dollar bills cannot cure broken hearts, no. They can pay bills and ease worries in that aspect. I have had to borrow money from check n go on numerous occasions and that is not fun either.
To me, it is the people around you that you love and that love you and God that make me happy. I like to help others. It is a good feeling.

If you can be happy working in a place like Walmart forever well then good for you, but the reality of the world is usually put more into perspective when the income that you are bringing in has to not only look after yourself, but feed hungry children and then put them through school. If you end up with a child that has a talent and they want to explore that unfortunately nearly everything in this world costs money and the failure to be able to provide this causes stress, which in turn makes you unhappy. So if you are a person of simple needs you can indeed be happy, but the test of time is to add that significant other and a few kids. Are you still happy when little Jonny wants a new $400 pair of soccer boots as all the other kids have them and you just cannot afford them. Life sucks sometimes and lack of money can truly effect happiness. But if you also look at some of the rich movie stars in the world half of them are unhappy as well, so a balance must be found to truly be happy. Having a bit of money does help though.

No, money won't make you happy, but cultivating the skills necessary to land a high paying job can't hurt. People end up in dead end low paying jobs because they lack those skills or had some kind of setback or didn't get enough education. I don't think a Walmart employee is "happy", Walmart screws it's employees and so do a lot of companies. Your best option, grasshopper, is to eventually become your own boss and do things your own way while still being able to make a living somehow. That is what will make you happy.

Well it all depends. You may be happy, but there is always a part of you that is sad. With me, yes a higher paying job would make me happy cause it would take off all the financial stress that is and has been on my shoulders for the past 4 years. Living a life where you are confident that all the bills can be paid and there will be food on the table, is a very happy one.

Money cant buy happiness (unless your superficial). It cant heal a broken heart, it cant make your spouse faithful, it cant turn a miserable sack into a happy go lucky person. But it CAN ease financial burden but not always. People who make alot can still be in debt if they dont play their cards right but if you do budget well, then money can buy lots of extas. Extra vacation, you can afford to take extra days off work to be with your family but thats it, true happiness comes from withing, your family life and the absence of mental illness or addiction problems.

yes. it's nice to have a job you can depend on to support a family. i think being homeless isnt happy, but as long as yuo are steady at walmart, you can be happy. however...i dont know if i think a homeless person can be as happy asa person with a home, depending on the circumstances. I'm not saying a person who works at walmart cant have a home, i just think they would have to work a lot more. I also think there is something to be said about a college education because you earn a lot of respect from others, and personally its a self-respect thing. but happiness is a core thing. it really is.

So she dated this guy voluntarily, understanding it become a contravention of organisation coverage, and as quickly as she desperate to end it, she have been given fired. She become violating coverage all alongside. No help from the regulation for her. And the exertions code you cite is a state code, no longer federal. EEOC won't help her. If it become a case the place he become hitting on her, she rejected him, and have been given fired, that must be a distinctive subject. If she in reality violated the time card regulations, that provides the organisation a valid reason to fireplace her. a individual who has a valid declare for action below EEOC rules isn't unfastened to pass approximately breaking organisation regulations suitable and left with out worry of sanctions. additionally, be cautioned that EEOC is hopelessly backlogged, and would take a twelve months to get to her case.

I want to make more money so that I don't have to worry about paying the bills and so that I can have a comfortable retirement, hopefully soon.
Money does make life a bit easier, but it doesn't make you happy on its own.

Your position , job or rank has nothing to do with your "happiness". These things come with enthusiastic, consistent effort and education. Go to your library or ebooks and read Deepok Chopra, Maxwell Maltz, Wayne Dyer. Do absolutely no less than what it takes to reach your goal of happiness!.

I think you're on the right track. Money will in itself not make you happy.
However, we also have to be realistic in seeing that virtually everything costs money - you need a place to live, you need to eat. So, it certainly makes it easier if you have sufficient money to cover your main expenses and give us security. Everything else is gravy. Just keep a sunny outlook on life, treat people as you want to be treated yourself and smile.
