Rosie should be barred from living in the U.S if this is the country she wants to treason. Maybe she should live in Iran.

I think you have a point in there somewhere, but your examples are will turn people off to hearing what you are trying to say. I personally think what Imus said was horrible and was inappropriate. I am a little disturbed by this fight that Sharpton is leading because I think without meaning to, he is opening Pandora's box and going to create more animosity than he realizes.

Imus was wrong, and that is an opinion that should be shared. If people decide to lead a crusade against him, then they need to realize that they will need to follow through and do the same to the next DJ who does the same thing...and they all do it. Many people are arguing the point that hip hop artists have made negative words seem more acceptable, and that is why more people use them. I see a different connection to the hip hop world and what Imus said. As someone who listens to hip hop and all the hip hop djs in the NY area, I can't tell you how many times I have heard inappropriate comments and skits made against numerous ethnicities and races. If Al is gonna lead this crusade, is he going to bring down the DJs making fun of Asian people, Latino people, African People, ect.

This hit people hard because Imus was commenting on a group of successful talented young woman, but there is a thin line between what Imus said and when a particular morning show on 105.1 who took over for a man who said inappropriate things (sry guys I luv u though.), is running a whole skit about how Latino people are Bodega owning theives, or how Indian people smell.

If this crusade against Imus brings him down...and he seems to have a lot of fans, and the same type of crusade doesn't occur to the next hip hop dj who says something similar, the animosity between the two groups is going to sooooaaaaar.

And, no I don't think Rosie should be fired.

genuinely! this isn't the first time Imus has made insulting racial comments...and perchance if he's canned, it will be the perfect time. How do you're saying "nappy headed hos" with out malice? despite the indisputable fact that, Imus isn't the in basic terms public be certain who has disrespected black women human beings. What about Eddie Murphy with is disgusting Norbit action picture? What about the manufacturers of massive Mama's homestead? at the same time as are human beings going to stop treating black women human beings as we are straightforward recreation at the same time as it contains stereotyping, defaming and demeaning? I for am in basic terms drained of it! it truly is in basic terms about like you would possibly want to be skinny and blonde to get any variety of recognize or love in this society...and it stinks!!!

Imus got fired for making racially hateful remarks on the air about non-public figures. If he had said Rosie O'Donnell was a *#^(!)#&^^ there wouldn't be a problem. Or for that matter if he would have said that Will Smith was a nappy headed so and so, that would be OK to. Both Rosie and Will have chosen to be public figures.

I see you have an 88 your SN, I don't know if you're a white supremacist or if that was the year you were born (if I lost you just google 88.) Anyways he wasn't fired because he was insulting, he was fired because his comments made sponsers and advertisers scared of being involved in this shitstorm that was concocted after his very forgettable comment.

When are people going to stop comparing Imus to.......well, EVERYTHING?

Rosie O'Donnell is half nuts anyway. That's not a new thing. People EXPECT her to say insane things like that. God, look at the crap Jane Fonda did! That STILL has no comparison to Imus. Believe me, Rosie isn't helping herself with her conspiracy theories.

I don't see where one thing has to do with the other.

Imus attacked a group of people....Rosie attacked the government.

I don't like Rosie so this isn't taking up for her....I think the issues are different.

imus got fired because his comments caused sponsors to pull out of the networks that ran his show. if the same happened to rosie's networks, she'd get fired too. it's all about the almighty dollar.

No,the hateful thang should be admitted to a mental hospital. Hey, it's not America's fault that she wasn't born a man. Or smart, or pretty. Humm, I begin to understand why she hates so much. Poor ole Rosie.
