You need to see a doctor! You may have PCOD, hypo or hyperthyroidism or a lot of other things. This is treatable with medication, but if left untreated, it is not so good. It is not to late and you most likely can still have kids. But please see you doctor ASAP!

No don't worry!! I very much doubt you have less chance of having kids because of irregular periods!! It is only if your periods stop altogether that you risk not having children!! Your periods have probably become irregular due to stress - are you finding school work stressful? Are you get worried about exams nearing? These could be possible reasons for periods not being regular!
To be on the safe side and if you are that concerned go to ypour GP to check you are fine!! I'm pretty certain you'll be fine!! Although you started your period at 13 it is not until puberty is over that you will find your periods being more regular. You are probably having a lot of hormonal changes going on in your body still - another reason why your period may be irregular!!

I think you should weigh a bit more, I am 5ft 5 and I think I weighed 8 stone and was considered stick thin? So eat a bit more, but go and see the doc. They can put you on the pill to start your cycle going properly. You could be having irregular periods for all sorts of reasons assuming you are not starving yourself? Like if you do a lot of sports I think that affects your periods and your ability to conceive, but that said that marathon runner just had a baby!! At 16 I wouldn't be worrying about having kids, that should be at least 10 years away!!! But go and see the doc, get some reassurance and make sure you are eating healthy.

I wouldn't worry. I started my periods when i was 13, i'm 21 now and they're only just starting to settle down and form some kind of monthly pattern! Having chronically irregular periods can make it a little more difficult to conceive simply because eggs are released irratically- but it doesn't make you infertile! Please don't give in to the pressure to go on the pill for no reason, its not a cure for anything, it won't sort your periods out, it will just give you fake ones. Taking the pill in the long term will screw you up in one way or another. Messing with your hormones is just not advisable. See your doctor if still worried about it, particularly if you think you're under weight. but again i wouldn't worry about that. A lot of girls i know didn't fill out till they were around 17/18. Hope that helps xx

No need to fear! I left a artical to connect to at the bottom as well but most girls dont become regular years after they first get their cycle. It can be a list of reasons, from your age, physical activity levels, or your body fat percentage. There could be cause for concern if you continue to be irregular into your 4th or 5th year of having your period only because your doctor may want to put you on hormone medication or the pill to make you more regular, but this is a common problem that women have and they are just as able to have children later on in life.

I completely understand what you are going thru. My periods did the same thing around 16. You need to talk to your mum about going on the pill to regulate your period. As far as having children.......don't worry until the doctor tells you to worry. I worried for about 10 years, and have 3 great kids, and 4 grandkids. Have you always weighed around 100 pounds? How tall are you? If you are under 5'5 then the weight is not a problem. But everyone is right.....see your doctor.

If you're not sexually active, there's not much to worry about. You're still very young, and your body isn't regular just yet. Your hormones are still like jumping beans. If you are physically active, under stress or have an inadequate diet, that will affect your cycle. At this age, a visit to the GYN is a wise decision. They can tell you exactly what is going on, and start checking to be sure that you won't have problems in the future when/if you wish to start a family. Good luck.

Right first things first calm down ! You sound like you have some sort of hormone imbalance which is treatable. Go to your doctor and have a word with them.
You are very tiny have you suddenly lost a lot of weight for no reason you could have a thyroid problem or I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome which can affect you in many ways one being irregular and strange periods.
Dont get your self all worried take the next available appointment at the Doctors and go prepared with whats wrong with you and all your symptoms be clear about these so that they get the right diagnosis. They may give you blood tests or send you to a specialist for a thorough check up. And its all good dont worry you can still have children with irregular periods !! I have a son and mine up until I had him were extremely irregular.

I don't know about the sudden change... I usually only skip when I change what I'm eating. I don't know what 7 stone is in pounds, but if you're too thin, that might contribute. Sometimes, people just have irregular periods. If the timing bothers you, talk to you doc about going on the pill just to regulate them.

I think you shouldn't worry, and don't for goodness sake don't go looking up medical conditions on the internet, it will only make you worry more. Go and see your GP if you are really worried. However I had irregular periods for years when I was a teenager, and I now have two beautiful children. Your weight seems normal for your height by the way.

I think goin to a OBGYN is your best bet. I had irregulare period when I was younger then it stopped for a whole 5 months (I was happy ... no crimson tide). But I went to a Dr and turns out my body can't deal with stress and my hormones were crazy off. They gave me stuff to get my hormones in balance and the pill to regulate my period. So go see the GP or a OBGYN...Best of luck
