if your computer tower doesnt already have one installed, most all of them have a place on the back to install extra usb ports,, you can purchase it at Staples or Office Depot, installation is simple, you remove a metal panel on the back of tower,,,,, pop it in , it comes with instructions, you most likely need a USB2 port

Well get start from the basics.
You must have a computer with a USB port. I'm assuming you know where that is. Jus t in case it's an opening about 1/2 an inch long and 1/4 of in inch wide and it has a slot with 4 pins inside.
Now your mini media player should have the oppoite end of the usb or a different slot. There are 3 basic port for a mini player.
They are all less then 1/2 an inch long.
One looks like a rectangle with 2 teeth on one side and on the inside there is a 4 pin male end.
Another one is a small rectangle where as one side is larger then the other.
the third most popular one is.. well I just don't know right now. But based on my descriptions you should have a very good idea as to the location of the connection on your player.

It should be somewhere on the side. Its just a mini usb port like on a computer except smaller and looks kind of like a pentagon.

You have to get one that comes with your specific model mini DVD player. Sometimes you can't find one and have to hook 2 or 3 cords together. Try looking at office depot or something.

Yeah, it seems the better technology gets, the dumber i feel. In my experience, which isn't much, they have been color coded. If that doesn't work, call Best Buy, they are extremely customer service oriented and they have helped me on more than one occasion.

front or back of the computer, might even be a port on your keyboard or monitor these days. They look like a little rectangle.
