It hard to say a specific definition. There are so many things to come to mind with just the word. In fact disgusted by the things involved within it.
But I think it has to do with society and how we were raised. And what to believe.
I believe it is a state of mind where a person or group has a belief that they are dominate over another. So this gives different levels of racism.
The stronger the higher.
But those who rise must fall at sometime...don't forget.
Racism is ignorance, misguidance, misunderstanding.
It is easier to be racist then to try to understand another perspective on life.

Racism is the prejudicial treatment of someone based on their race alone. People hold onto racist beliefs because for every person that disproves racism of a specific kind, there's another more ignorant person of the same race that reconfirms them all over again.

a hatred heart hardens everyday!

old saying! people want to believe so bad that its not racism, but being the greatest of all. Not their race but themselves.

to feel as if they have power and in order to get there they must have followers! who else beside your own race! cause they can't do it alone. Their would be some kind of popularity conflict between two supremacy leaders! One would want to be better or believe their method is more sufficient than the others! The world is one big power struggle!

Any person who could hate another person just because of color, I think they are gang members. KKK is a gang! Klan / gang same difference .

Racism is taught. A child sees everyone the same....consider that for a moment. Their own innocence, in effect shields them from forming an opinion about anyone based on ethnicity.
They are a "clean slate" upon which their environment writes.
Racism is an expression of ignorance..... and the only cure is education...

I think racism is a dislike of a particular race for no other reason than colour or creed
I think it comes from fear of differences
and a lack of understanding and no attempt to reconcilate this
It comes from a lack of education as well as a fear of losing something that the person has freedom, safety, possessions
Its very contaminating and very dangerous

Racism is stereotyping people to act or be a certain way because of their race.

There are, regretfully, people in almost every race who fit the stereotype to a tee and cause people who had about given up on these beliefs to wonder if maybe they were mistaken to set aside their beliefs.

Hatred, not just of another race but of self too-self hate.
Some people want 2 be evil and mean and will find any
way 2 vent because they are angry, disappointed , lost, ignorant, unsatisfied with self.
It makes some people feel superior 2 think that they are above another group, race or culture.
Is it not soooooo stupid for another person 2 feel they are better than another because of the color of their skin..

Racism is power plus prejudice. When an individual or group doesn't like or prefer a group of people that's prejudice, but to have the power to prohibit or deny another individual or group of people things that they are rightfully entitled to or wanting, is racism. Power plus prejudice.
