People just drive a car that is not even a sport. And they are wasting all of are un-renewable resources. I am not a tree hugger but NASCAR has too go.

I hate NASCAR just as much as anyone, and its hillbilly fans. Techincally it is a sport by definition, but no way in hell I consider drivers athletes. Who said you can lose more weight in one race than one full football season? Are you kidding idiot? I can sit on my behind all day, does that make me an athlete, not at all.

Those cars waste so much money and so much gas, no wonder gas prices are sky high. And honestly, how can anyone really find that exciting? 500 miles of circles, at least put some real turns in the track. Ill watch crashes on sprotscenter, but that is all.. it is just too boring. I would rather watch World Series of Poker than dull my mind with thousands and thousands of left turns.

is this the football category or, auto racing? just because another sport is about to surpass Your favorite sport in popularity, is no excuse for becoming a hater. just dont watch it. as for NASCAR being a bunch of guys driving around in circles, hardly. besides wrestling a two ton vehicle, at 190 mph for 500 miles, inches away from 42 other guys trying to do the same thing, they also have to do something not a lot of NFL players are capable of...THINK!

Nascar is of course #1 for me. I'm a Detroit Piston fan also. Enjoy some college football and some NFL. When the Nascar boys are off the track and the snow is pouring down up here, got to have something to cheer for.

Well since it has been the fastest growing sport in America for the last 10 years and 20 million + people consider themselves fans of NASCAR, I don't think it is going anywhere.

you are a moron nascar is a great sport, and this is the football forum, and yes drivers do have to be in shape because the heat in the car makes them lose 10-15 pounds every week also the mental and physical stress on these drivers is unbeliveable and dont stereotype fans as all being hillbillies because thats ignorant and untrue ,most of the people who watch nascar watch football as well

I don't enjoy NASCAR, but I respect it. When I really think about what they do, I can't help but respect it. I get irritated just dealing with the slow pokes in traffic. There is so much science and thought into the cars alone that I have to respect it.

Now the fans . . . for the most part . . . . not so much.

I really recommend doing some looking into this before you knock it. It's always better to understand something before you judge it.

I agree with ya bro. Nascar is possibly the most boring "sport" known to mankind. I would rather watch golf. I respect the drivers, doing 180 mph a couple feet away from cars all around you is nuts, but so damn boring. THEY'RE MAKING ANOTHER LEFT TURN!!! I prefer NHRA drag racing. 300 mph in less than 8 seconds. Now that takes balls.

You're a fool.

I'd like to see you take the forces these guys do THEN be able to control the cars like they can. These guys have to be mentally and physically tough.

So stop you're whining and being stupid. NASCAR is one of the most popular sports, it is rapidly rising and spreading. And rightfully so.
