All the republican fans yell and scream against all the democrat fans who are yelling and screaming the same.
I really enjoy questions that are focused on real issues that can be reasonably and respectfully debated.
I asked a question regarding taxes. Taxes affect every single person in this country from babies to our elderly.
I got 4 answers to the question.
But to a question like, "How stupid is Bush?" you get 20 to 40 opposing fans yelling at the top of their "fingers" about just exactly how stupid they think Bush is.
Aren't there things in this country and the world that have a bit more importance than what opinions opposing fans have of the president?
I know, this question is a bit inane itself, and is a bit of a rant also.
I'll stop and won't do it anymore...IF YOU WON'T EITHER!!!
LOL!!

Careful folks, I'm keeping a ledger to see if there is anyone out there that can answer a question without being a smart-@ss or sarcastic.
You don't have to point out the question was inane...I ALREADY DID. So you might want to bother reading the whole thing, as if that is important to you.

Thank you for your answers to the question. I see that there are a number of people that really do care to discuss issues rather than "people".

A lot of people just come here to feed the trolls. There are a number of people like yourself who come to talk over real issues. The new network feature is very helpful is cutting thru all the dribble and get right to the meaningful questions.
The best way to find people you would like to have as contacts is to check out those people who answer your questions with any reasonable reply. Go to their profile page and click add contact above their user name.
That way you can check their questions on your network before foraging thru the main question page.
BTW. I think a flat tax isn't the answer, but that was a great question.

Inane, insane, and downright stupid.
Those questions that are focused on real issues are too few and far between these days. Too many are like the example you give.
This area of Answers no longer serves the purpose it was made for. Rants, offensive comments, and bias questions run wild here. Does anybody actually ask real questions here anymore? I can take these rants, and often give accurate points against whatever they happen to be raving about, but even I am getting frustrated at this point.
I think this area of answers is a house of cards. I'm wondering how long before a civil war breaks out.

Yes; I got sick of it quite a while ago. Mostly, I prefer to answer in other categories where people ask what I feel are "legitimate" questions, as opposed to some inflammatory "land mine" posted by a troll.
I'll speed-browse through the "questions" in the politics category, but I'll only respond to a very small percentage.
This is definitely NOT any college-level poly-sci forum; it's mostly just a free-for-all for people who think they're witty and funny.
One can accomplish a lot more good and actually receive compliments in other categories...

The 4 answers, beginning with the first one you have now are pathetic. What do you expect from adolescents who haven't got the brains to be anywhere near as intelligent as you. Keep it up. You should join the small group of people who responded to my question in 'comments' about starting a 55+ site on Y!A just to get away from the 'inane' questions AND answers from these dolts !! Thank you !!

An intellegent question asked in an intellegent non-accusatory manner about the real issues confronting America would be a pleaseure to discuss. I am with you. There is way to much bait and bite kind of thing going on here.
Issues we could discuss might include the future of Social Security, healthcare reform, election reform, lobbyists, corruption in our government, education reform, crime, energy policy and much more. The discussion can be constructive. We don't need to get into Gore bashing with global warming when it comes to energy policy nor into Bush bashing when it comes to corruption. These things may or may exist and probably do to some degree. Instead of bashing we should be looking for ways to change the status quo and make things better. Even if things seem fine and dandy there is always room for improvement. Who knows we might actually be able to come up with some great idea our legislators never thought of and they, upon us telling them about it, might name it the YA bill or something like that.
Democracy at work is a wonderful thing to behold.

I'm amused my the questions on, "How do I beat a traffic ticket!" as if there was a rain dance, or voodoo spell that would make them go away. Or, the ones which begin "The officer didn't have his flashing lights on," or some other reason why the ticket was not valid.
They're being given out for irresponsible driving. Learn to drive, think safety, and you won't get one.

Of course the intelligent well thought out questions never get a lot of answers or the ones you do receive are ignorant. The absurd questions receive more answers because they require less thought.

No, I get tired of the lazy persons questions. Why is it difficult to research to find an answer.? Doesn't everyone have dictionaries and encylopedias in their homes?Don't most all towns, no matter how little, have a library?
P.S. Is spelling still taught in school?

Annoying isn't it, insane as well as inane, and oh how refreshing it is at times when intellectuals post questions and answers using common sense, logic, and facts:)
