Well since you already have the answers I'll give you a trick. When multiplying by 9 as in question 2 what you can do is add a zero to the number and then subtract the same number you are multiplying to give you the answer.
For example 24x9
24 becomes 240 by adding a zero
Then 240-24=216
See you can do it without a calculator
Another example
37x9
37 becomes 370 by adding a zero
Then 370-37=333
That's a trick someone taught me and I find it very helpful. To some extent I use it every day, when grocery shopping and things cot 90 cents and I have to bu several of them fr example. Anyway I hope this helps and I haven't bored you too much. Take care.
