nope, he is 18...nah...this is not normal for teenager. If he fear that his hormone level is down, then he should go to a doctor and get it check out. But I really doubt it.

On the other hand, you said he never had good sex. Maybe his problem come from the last female that he try to seduce. She might have said something to negative about his ability to make love to her. So he might have a mental issues going on.

Lack of sex drive (lack of libido) is extremely common in women – but quite rare in men. Even men with erectile dysfunction (ED) usually have a perfectly normal sex drive.

It's far less common than erectile dysfunction (impotence) - with which it should not be confused.

At our clinic we see only one man with lack of desire for every 15 with erectile dysfunction.

Most men with lack of libido can achieve erections, but have lost the desire to have sex.

Physical causes

Possible physical causes include:
1) alcoholism - quite common.
2) abuse of drugs - such as cocaine.
3) anaemia - unusual unless the man has been bleeding for any reason.
4) hyperprolactinaemia - a very uncommon disorder in which too much of the hormone prolactin is produced by the pituitary gland.
5) obesity - quite common; simply slimming down will often help.
6) prescribed drugs - particularly Proscar (finasteride), a tablet used for prostate problems.
7) low male hormone level (testosterone) - contrary to what many people think, this is rare.
8) any major 'generalised' disease, such as diabetes.

Psychological causes

Psychological causes of lowered male level of desire include:
1) depression - very common
2) stress and overwork
3) sex hang-ups
4) latent gayness
5) serious relationship problems with the wife/partner.

Your doctor should usually be able to sort out the cause by discussing the problem with you, by examining you, and by doing a few tests.

But if he or she can't sort it out, your doctor can send you to a specialist.
