I am now working as a private tutor and what i think is:

of course if you ask constructive questions or intelligent questions, do your homework and pass it up on time, get good results, behave nicely and do some sweet talks occasional you may probably get the teachers to like you.

But for me, the most important thing to make me really like about a student is, he/she must have the passion for learning, and initiative to study, ready for every lesson anytime, the willingness and an opened mind to every single useful knowledge comes in he/her way.

Being smart or not is not the most important thing actually. But if a student refuse to learn, or bearing such thought, it will be hard for me to like him/her really.

After all, you should do your homework and behave nicely, at least, with respect to your teacher, not rudely^^

You don't really want a teacher to love you, do you? Wouldn't you rather they liked you, they enjoyed having you in their class, and they respected you for the effort you gave to the work you did?

It is not necessary for everyone to love you. Just do your work and behave yourself, and MAYBE the teacher will respect you, if it's a good teacher.

All teacher will "love" their students in a "motherly" fashion.. if they :

come to class prepared to learn.
have all their materials before getting started
do their homework
participate in class discussions
listen when she is talking
get along w/ others
enjoy school.

Sit in front of the class. Attend regularly. Ask intelligent questions- often. Do your homework & keep it neat. And if he or she STILL doesn't "love" you- well, at least you'll get an "A" in the class... :)

If you're my student, you did it by being smart and confident but still accepting that there are a couple things I know more about than you do. The accent doesn't hurt either.

I hope what you really mean is "like" and not "love". If you mean "like", then do what your told, study, and be courteous.
