I will let my daughter date when she's finished with high school. If I let her date before that she can get side tracked with bf drama.

Well, I'm in middle school and some kids are starting to date. I told my mom and she's like,"What can middle schoolers do??" Ha, my best friend (who is in 7th grade, like me) made out with her boyfriend twice. I heard a lot of other kids make out too. Me, I'm against dating in middle school. We're not really that mature yet (not even all the overachievers). We're trying to find out who we are and figure out what kind of things we like and enjoy. Why throw dating into the mix?
Plus, if there are 12 year olds making out with each other, everyone will have dropped out before tenth grade because they'll be pregnant.

I don't know the age a kid should be, but I would say when they have a better understanding of who they are as a human and can respect themselves and others then....And only then are they truely old enough to have a boyfriend.

My friend a child should date when they feel that they are able to handle love and that age would be more suitable at age 18 when they are finished school and are moving on. That way they can think more logically and more profound towards their relationships with other people, and maybe if they were successful and dated a person since graduation till college they might end up married that's how girls stay virgins.

depends on mature level. Some kids at age 12 act like they are 15.... some 15 year olds act like they are 12....... so id say when they are mature enough....... most kids... id say 15..... DATING DOES NOT MEAN SEX....... Shouldn't have sex till your ready, and ye gods kids if your gonna have teh sex before your 18 USE A CONDOM!!!

Use a condom anytime your with a new guy or don't want kids, but ESPECIALLY when your a teen...

Sixteen is plenty young for one-on-one dating...for an at school "boyfriend" or group get-togethers and dates, 13 or 14 if the child is mature enough, sounds reasonable (always an adult present to supervise).

Well it is not on a matter of age as a number but the maturity level of the individuals. we all have had or do have people we refer to as boyfriends when we are young but our true knowing of the term does not happend untill we are mature enough to understand it.
