Interracial marriage simply means a marriage between two people from other races such as a white person marrying a black person, or a Chinese person marrying an East Indian.

True love between the couple will carry far enough, and most modern societies have a higher tolerance level for this kind of relationship. However, some of the real problems are when children arrive, and children, of course have to react with other children that are not accepting, and are intolerant.

Often older parents, also resent the inter racial marriages, and even people you work with people, or people you encounter in every day life may react with hostility, depending on their own prejudice and their own up bringing.

Interracial marriage is when two people marry who are not of the same race. For example a white man marrying a black woman. What could happen is that in some parts of the USA people are still prejudiced over interracial marriages and that could lead to difficulty when socializing. It is becoming a more common thing and so it is not such a problem like it used to be.

Interracial marriage is happening every day....as with my family. From all your answers so far I am sure you have read that when two people get together from different races and get married then society calls it an interracial marriage. I live in the southern USA and even here society is learning to accept the change. Not one of the children born in our family have had any problems being from a mixed marriage. They are supported with love from a very big extended family and that is the key. There will always be bigots and racist in society but we are beginning to out number them. We are also teaching our children to be proud of who they are and of their heritage. I would bet that everyone in America will tell you that they have....Indian...in them some where....so wouldn't that make it that they were from an interracial marriage at some point.

An interracial marriage is when two people from two different ethnicities get married, How does this effect kids in the home?
It is how you choose to show your love for one another that matters though the outside world may have there opinions and they have rights to opinions it doesn't make them correct it is what you make of it. I you show love (unconditionally) and you show respect your kids will learn those traits if someone gives them a hard time you explain sometimes the world is cruel and full of afraid people don't be mad feel sorry for them and go ahead and love some more.
Hope this helps be happy in life and nothing bad will touch you.
Sincerely,
Jennifer

well obviously the answer of what they are have been told and at risk of sounding like a broken record they are two people from races or ethnic background that get married

the sad part is that this world has yet to come away from racist and prejudice ways of the past and in an interracial marriage the couple can face many obstacles in life
like person A is of one race and Person B of another. Person A will sometime in life have to face whatever predjudices and racisim that person B has to face :(

and vice versa :(

but in despite of that luv is luv :) and luv surpasses all boundries an people should respect that:) i do :)

An inter-racial marriage is a marriage between two people of a different race. While this is becoming more socially acceptable, it is still met with some resistance. And, it can create problems between a couple too.

The hardest problem is on the children of an inter-racial couple because they may have problems identifying with their race, and they can get teased by children.

its when 2 people of a different race ( African American and white, Mexican and African American and so on)get together marry or live together. i think today more people are ok with kids of a mixed marriage. its not like it was back in the older days. so most of the time the kids are fine they learn the different cultures of each person which i think is great.

When 2 different races marry. However I don't think its anything society looks at different anymore. Its more accepted and happens more often now, love knows no color and we should all remember that.
