Well, we have the TSA, FEMA and he still has money to spend, why not on a Cabinet level agency devoted soley to faulty intelligence the rest of the white house has faulty intelligence we might as well have an agency that specializes in it. Hey maybe he will copy the family courts and do it in the best interest of the children. That is one that is hard to argue with.

I am all for fixing the problem. the question is do we need another agency or could this be done with the people we already have.

Homeland security used existing agency people in CIA, FBI and oother agencies. But at its creation I knew that when you make a whole new department there is going to be increased expenditure.

I am wary that this will effectively grow government a little more. I want it working right. But there should have already been people who work on determining validity of intelligence I would think.

The Bush administration produces enough faulty intelligence as it is--they don't need to hire someone to create more.

And a CABINET-level position? Why not just call it the KGB American Style--it would be more honest.

I totally agree, the quality of faulty intelligence we've been getting lately is horrible. The Whitehouse should put a much greater effort into producing a more believable version of the truth.

Much of the "faulty" intelligence was the Admin. re-writing the intelligence reports to show what they wanted it to or to give it a slant in the "proper" direction. I think the intelligence community however prone to error, was more right than wrong and GWB manipulated us all

It will look good next to the office of The War Czar. Bigger and better government through bureaucracy. Seriously, what goes through this President's mind? Spend, spend, spend.
