I don't know and can't say what the future holds... but my mom reads sylvia's books and watches her and say's all the time how if she knows the furture and can see all these things why didn't she tell us about 9 11 and all that other stuff that happened....

And, a previous answer has already established Silvia Brown as a nutcase.
Seriously, anything can happen including a tidal wave in New York. But honestly it is no more likely than any other natural disaster. If you live your life trying to protect yourself from things like this you will never have time to do anything else. Personally I would be more concerned about Yellowstone erupting than a tsunami in New York or global warming...

At some point in time a tsunomi will hit NY. In fact they pretty much know where it is going to come from, there is an island off the coast of Africa that has on of its sides falling off and when it does the eastern seaboards of North and South America will be hit by one. However, they don't think that will happen anytime soon and people will have plenty of warning to get out of the way.

There was flooding back about ten years ago of considerable strength felt specially in Long Island. Anything's possible. However, there's a lot worse on the way than some little Tsunami.

True , that island off Africa could cause the big one. There is no way to know when it may happen. A mild earthquake could cause it to happen. It's a big deal.The tsunami in Asia took 250,000 lives in a few hours. if that one hit New York and the Eastern seaboard millions would die in minutes.

i dont think so......like what part of ny cuz parts of LI are near the ocean but like the city and upstate are only near lakes and habors. and you need an ocean.
but the important thing to remember listen to warning.....like weather severice warnings......n if the water all goes out and getts really sallow run away fast its coming.
