I saw the weed claw advertised. Are there others out there and which ones are the best? Also, do they work well? Thanks in advance.

I use a long handled dandelion picker. I can't really think of what it called. A hoe works great. So does a pitch fork if you have a lot of them.. I also have a weed hound. Its a thing you step on then pull out the weed. Its kind of fun. I use what ever I'm in the mood for.

If I can't pull a weed up by hand, there's a few tools around the house I use. For weeds with a long, slender taproot (like dandelions) I use a long phillips-head screwdriver. For weeds with a large, broad fibrous root (like crabgrass) I chop away with a short-handled mattock.

I have a garden claw that I use to loosen up soil and work material into flower beds as well, and I discovered that this tool works really well on crabgrass. You can just twist it out without having to bend over at all, and it leaves less of a "divot" out of your yard as well.
