Black folks just can't take a joke. I bet you if we listen to what's on the basketball player's IPODS it would make IMUS'S remarks seem like a walk in the park

Does it matter whether someone is acting or a real person? Comments made by an actor or a real are still heard by vast amounts of people. People need to lighten up and not let minorities have so much power to fire people just because they can't take a joke.

pay attention. Imus screwed up and replaced into incorrect and he mandatory to be talked approximately as on the carpet for it as they say. he will locate yet another radio interest someplace. My concern with that's 2 fold. a million. Your ideal, it has long gone too a techniques and there are various incidences of folk conversing approximately different human beings in a undesirable way yet as long as the two are an identical race no person makes a fuss relating to the specific language used. yet while they don't look to be an identical race then look out. 2. while is Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson going to be talked approximately as onto the carpet for comments that they've remodeled the years. a guy or woman could determine their own residence is sparkling formerly critisizing others. yet back the two way Imus has been soliciting for this for years...

Rappers are just as guilty if not more so than Imus. I'm an African American woman and while I was offended by Imus' remarks to these athletes, I feel strongly that rappers are just as guilty as he is for their lewd lyics in their songs. You want to talk about ho's? What about all the girls gone wild, the booty shaking mamas on BET or the loose athletes who'll sleep with all the groupies (men can be ho's too). What about the scantily clad entertainers who shakey their **** and *** at the camera to sell a CD. Dallas Austin said that Christine Aguilera and other singers like her are whores who'll sleep with anyone for tracks. Those were his words not mine. The moral fiber and sense of decency in this country is virtually non existent. Jesse Jackson and Al SHarpton don't speak for me. I'm more offended that they would lynch Imus for his idiotic remarks but say nothing about the lyrics of rappers' music. Idiots.

Seriously what he said was disgusting and ignorant. He should take a look in the mirror. With that said, he has been saying crap like that for 40 years and my questions is why now???? The bottom line is there is a double standard in the country and that is what needs to end. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander..Plain and simple. That is my biggest problem with issues like this, had it been a white team and he called them honky ho's, DO you all think he would have received the same PUNISHMENT??? or the same MEDIA ATTENTION......HELLL NOOO!!!!!. I am just simply sick and tired of it. Everytime there is an issue regarding white people and black people especially here in NY, here comes Al Sharpton always adding fuel to the fire...Do some research on him and you will see that he has made many racial slurs about whites, jews...etc....DID anyone fire him???? Him and Jesse Jackson need to take hike, they do more Harm to African Americans then they do good.

One more point....I am sooooooo tired of being blamed for the suffering of the African American Race, I am a first generation american, my parents are born in Italy where they came from nothing...when they came to america they were persecuted for being ITALIANS, but you know what they did ...they busted their @sses and so that they could give us a great life and guess what we didnt want for anything and NOT once in my 33 years of life did I ever hear my father complain about being treated differently...he Loves this country and is grateful for all he has. So all i have to say is its played out and GET over it.

and

LADIES we really need to stop letting ANY MAN, white, black yellow green or any other color call us HO'S..period. Dont they realize they are talking to their moms, and sister and wifes and daughters.....

Clearly, the comment should NOT have been made. But I am also sick of the double standard. It's okay for one race to make such awful comments, but when another does the same it's time to hang them. There is NO difference in what Imus said and what rappers say or what not. The only difference is one group gets paid for making such degrading comments, and the other gets fired. Can anyone tell how any of this is acceptable?????

The situations you described above were both acting, from scripts. What Imus said was real life, live and on t.v. and no joke. The part about the basketball players' ipods might be true, but degrading women and other nationalities is wrong, no matter who does it.

It is.Black people call white people honkies, rednecks, and white trash and no one says a thing. But god forbid you call a black crimmal or a low life a name and you have Rev.Al and his boys marching and sueing all over the place. In the movies and t.v you have black pimps with white whores, because thats usually the way it is in real life. But youyphave a white pimp with black whores, ale and his boys would be marching again.lol Its a double standard in America, its alright for blacks to say the n word or make fun of blacks ,but not for white people to do it. Its alright for guys like o.j simpson the butcher two white people and walk away laughing, but god for bid if a white man did that to two black people,we would be having riots for the next ten years.
Black people got a chip on their shoulder that they can't carry.
The civil war ended 200 years ago,now you can't say anything to them or look at them crooked with them being offended lol. Even when they break the law cops are afraid to do anything,to many been sued and jailed by rev.Ale.
Believe me cops don't take sides, they beat be many times when i didn't deserve it.i still carry the scars, and the kicked in two of my ribs while i was handcuffed and trown on a jail floor, and i'm white man. I don't know what black people want today,i never owned slaves or treated blacks bad. I'm not respondable for what my anseasters did,any more then they are for what o.j did. They have to stop feeling sorry for them selfes and get on with their lifes Amen Brother!

I have to agree here. I think the things the rappers say and do in their videos is far worse than anything said by Imus! Why are black women not yelling about this?

You are absolutely right! I's ALWAYS a double standard when it comes to black & white!!!!!! ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Imus is a jerk, in my opinion, BUT, there's the double standard. Blacks can call each other despicable things & it's (O.K.) We do it & we are persecuted! They can call us despicable things & don't give it a second thought. When are we going to stopped being blamed for something our older generation did? NEVER!!! OUR children, their children, etc. will ALWAYS be blamed. YES, slavery was despicable, but when are they going to stop the race card? Never! Just look at their leaders! Liars& Racist! ACLU is the most pathetic, lying, org.(other than the the U.N.) what a joke. Can you say evil!

1. Denzel did not say he found white women repulsive, you idiot.
2. Karen did not say she hated the locals, she was a snob who did not like to deal with anyone she felt was beneath her and she is not a real person she is a character. Double idiot.
I find it amazing that people who have never had to deal with real racism always think that minorities are so sensitive. What is on a persons personal IPOD is what they listen to for themselves they do not put it on line for the world to hear it. I do however think that the vast majority of rap music is disgusting. Get your head out of your behind and deal with the real world.
