Doesn't it seem that this party loyalty is doing nothing except cause more problems? We are no longer voting for or supporting the better candidate, but simply the one who identifies with our respective parties.

Exactly. I couldn’t agree more! There are only two parties. Government/ Congress, and everybody else. The bottom line is, no matter what party you are, everybody will be effected by the voting outcome. Everybody, including Republicans are receiving a major backlash by the Bush administration.

We have to remember that a president is nothing more than a man, like every other man. He is suppose to be representing the people. If he decides, like Bush has done, to represent his own cause then the very point of him is null and void.

When voting, listen. Think. And judge the candidate based off who he really is, what he really has done and what he really plans to do. Not by the fact that he’s in a particular “party.” I never thought that as grown adults we’d still be trying to fit into the “in” crowds.

The 'two party system' is built into the electoral structure of the constitution - not explicitly, but since you can't win an election by building a post-election coalition, that's what it amounts to.

The two parties do whatever they need to to wrest power from eachother. At the moment, they're apealing more to thier bases. Only a decade ago, they were apealing more to the center. That's all that's really going on.

I don't know about all of you - however, I will vote for the 'better man' I feel that this is extremely important. I feel that being an American where I have the right to vote whoever I chose is precious! I feel that voting is a responsibility of what is right.

God Bless.
