Some technologies are good, some are bad, some are both. I would not want to go back to an era without good technologies like antibiotics, anaesthesia, plumbing, telephones, etc.. but I could live without technologies such as nuclear weapons, nerve gas, and television.
Other technologies have good and bad aspects, like motor vehicles and airplanes: you get convenience, but at a price (increased risk of accidental death, pollution).

It's kind of like asking whether water is good or bad - it depends.
Drink a glass of it and it's good.
Be submersed in it without scuba gear and it's bad.
This is a much more complicated question than just good or bad.

The purpose of tech was to make work shorter and easier so as an IT Dir. I have an office full of people who work twice as long trying to get twice as much done and have no idea what they are doing.
I say lets go back to sheep farming and growing carrots

Try living without flush toilets, houses, heat, refigerators and modern medicine. The other option is a cave.
