Isn't it frustrating? If he'd robbed a bank he would be inside for the rest of his natural life. They've got the priorities wrong somewhere.

I live in Texas and this incident is why I believe in the death penalty! California is screwed up too. My ex husband molested my oldest son (who was 6 at the time) in every way possible, pleaded no contest, and got off with a slap on the wrist! I begged for him to be put in jail, and the court said no because of the no contest plea. My son is 18 now and still has nightmares about it.

Four years, as the article states is the MINIMUM before he is ELIGIBLE for parole. The sentence was actually INDEFINITE. And as the judge states at the beginning of the article, he may NEVER be released. Does not seem so lenient to me. Sounds just.

whats so lieniant about this? he has an indefinte sentance meaning he could spent the rest of his life in jail....now he does have the possibilty of being out in 4 but that is not likly when his sentance is indefinate. if he only was given say 15 yrs THEN most likly he would be out in 5 yrs but an indefinate sentence means we keep you as ling as we want to...period

Because the legal system was developed and is, to a very large extent, maintained by males who fail to understand the implications and long term effects of sexual abuse on women and young girls. It's not your fault, mind you, we're just wired differently and most men can't understand how devastating that is for the victims....

because remember europes laws are more leniant than the usa and they call us sick. Really I dont know why. its the same thing as asking why dont we just put a bullet into a predators head after the first offense since they cant be cured, its madness
