You CAN get pregnant ANY day of your cycle. Before, during, or after your period. You are most likely to get pregnant if you have sex during ovulation, but there is still a chance you'll get pregnant even if you abstain during ovulation. Sperm can live in your cervix for up to seven days, and ovulation usually occurs 10 - 14 days after the first day of your period. But it does vary, so you never know.

Yes, it's actually the best time to conceive.
Women ovulate usually within a week after their period. Day 1 or your cycle is the first day of your period so Days 12-17 are the optimum times for conceiving.
This is ESPECIALLY true if you ovulate early, which sometimes happens. Last year I conceived on Day 10 of my cycle, just 2 days after my period ended.

No woman can tell when she's ovulating. But ovulation usually does NOT occur during your period.
This is why it's important to always use some type of contraception. Most of them though, offer no protection against disease transmission. And there is no such thing a single or a combination of methods of contraception that is 100% effective.

My Helth teacher Mr Peepers gave us the bonus question how many days during a womans mestral period can she become pregnet. When ever body heard that they were like woe they couldent bleive he woudl ask us that no body new it . But after all we do learn . But the answer is you coudl only get pregnet during the first 3 days of your period not befor or after

Each person is differant. The best thing for you to do is go to your local health dept. and ask a nurse. They will give you a pregnacy test for free.
