There are D ratings and even the purpleK as standards, but there are lots of other fire suppressants.

One that has class A, B, C, and D on it.

Classes of fires:
A is paper combustibles
B is flammable liquids.
C is electrical fires.
D is pretty rare -- metallic fires, like magnesium

Most of the time you can find or buy an ABC type extinguisher. Rarely would you need a D type at home.

i believe its the ones labeled ABC, each letter corresponds to a different type of fire. some are just BC or A, etc.
