help i just checked my network conections and have come acroos some thing called internet gateway can some one tell me wat one is

if it looks like this i wouldn't worry about it, it's normal behavior:

it just means you have two or more computers connected to the same netowork

An Internet Gateway is used when you have a group of networked computers that all draw their Internet connection from one computer. In this case the computer connecting creates a Gateway for the others to connect through.

An internet gateway, is what it says, a gateway to the interent.

It is where you pc looks for access to the internet.

This will usually be expressed as an ip address, usually your router will act as an internet gateway for your pc.

My DSL modem is my internet gateway.

Its used on a router to allow multiple computers to share one internet connection. If you only have one computer don't worry, it just means that you could add more computers to share your connection.
