I am having acne problems since I came off the pills and using Merena for the last 18 months. Nothing seems to work. Can I still use the pills to treat the acne while I have the IUD?

It is not suggested to use both because Mirena actually has the same hormones as birth control - therefore you would be taking a double dose.
I suggest you talk to your doctor about finding an alternative form of acne treatment.

Have you considered getting off birth control altogether and trying a natural method? It cannot be healthy for a women to artificially supress ovulation month after month. Long term use of hormonal contraceptives has been linked to breast cancer. The Mayo Clinic just released a study on this.

Hormonal birth control can also contribute to infertility.

Try Natural Family Planning

absolutely not. You will overload your system with too many hormones, and over time you could end up with infertility problems. Have you tried ProActive. (look it up on the web), it is very effective for acne treatment
