My first concert was Alice Cooper in Phoenix when I was 12 yrs old (mid 70's). My oldest sister took us with her. It was wild. Still today, I've never seen a concert quite like his. I have met him on several occasions. He is the, nicest, most down to earth guy. I used to run into him at the Phoenix swap meet all the time. He and his wife used to go and look for jewelery there. He's a cool cat and thrifty too.

He certainly has my respect and admiration.
Mick and the boys are hanging in there pretty well too...
Let's not forget Jerry Lee Lewis. He just released a new disk (Titled: "The Last Man Standing") and makes Alice Cooper and the Stones look like youngsters.
--- Edit ---
Oops, forgot to mention Pine Top Perkins. He is in his 90's and plays regular gigs right here in his new home town of Austin, Texas. Now there's a musician that deserves respect!!

I do and though this post was almost 10 years ago you made, Alice is still touring at almost 70 playing over a 100 shows a year and still recording great albums. Also he has a great guy from what I understand. A true gentlemen off stage and legend.

i respect the Cooper! :D such an excellent guy! MA: a diverse yay. he's an excellent guy, plus he places on some kick a** shows! they don't look to be only rock and metallic live performance events, yet as well musical performs. i imagine it really is only fantastic. MA2: My proper famous music of Alice Cooper's is "Poison." BQ: He has inspired many rockers/metallic heads.

I think Alice Cooper is absolutley brilliant. I know he's technically a genius, but his music is genius as well. People today love his music just as much as they did in the 60's. I think his music is going to be popular for a long long time to come.

He recently had a comeback in a line of Marriott commercials a few years back.
GW: Everyone is talking about your commercials for Marriott Hotels...
AC: [Laughs] It's unbelievable, the mileage were getting from this thing. I
mean, people wanted to start manufacturing jump ropes now, Alice Cooper
Jump Ropes [laughs].
GW: Did you freestyle that "My Name is Alice, I live in a palace..." thing?
AC: Yeah! It went on and on. It says, "I live in Phoenix, not in Dallas."
There were three or four verses of it. Uh, something like... "I stay at
Marriott because I care a lot..." [Laughs] Bryan's yelling for me to get
off the phone now.

Yes, and he also has a great BBQ restaurant in downtown Phoenix, too! (Cooper's Town, across from the America West Arena)
