Of all the people running right now (I will base my answer ion this criteria) I would have to say Hillary-Rodham Clinton. She is dedicated to fixing this very broken country and is passionate about National Health care, something the US desperately needs.

Anyone who would make us a strong nation again, It doesn't matter what sex, color, creed. Wouldn’t it be great to hear a US president give the following speech?
My fellow Americans: As you know the defeat of the Iraqi regime is complete. Since Congress doesn’t want to spend money on the war, our mission in Iraq is complete. This morning I gave the order for the complete removal of American forces from Iraq.
Today is a new day of reckoning. Before me is two lists. Those who sided with the US during the Iraq conflict and a list of those who sat on their asses and did nothing. The world’s nations on list two will be dropped from our list of those who receive foreign aid from the US. The money saved the first year alone should pay for the Iraqi War. The American government is no longer going to pour money into third world hell holes and watch their corrupt leaders grow fat on corruption. If these countries need help with famine or an epidemic they can always call on France.
In the near future, together with congress, I will work to redirect money to solving the vexing social problems we still have here at home. On that note, a word to all terrorists – Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and your friend from the face of the earth (and your little dog too). Feel the need for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France or China.
I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for the help comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon chance, mes amis.
I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to site where they will be stripped, shredded, and crushed. I don’t care about what treaty pertains to this. Those creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay up or watch you precious vehicles be turned into the finest chop shops in the world. God I love New York!
A special note to our neighbors to the north, your on list two, so don’t piss us off!
Mexico your also on the **** list. Pres. Fox and his whole corrupt government needs and adjustment in attitude. After we pull our troops home from those countries on list two I’ll have a lot of tanks and extra troops lying around. Guess where I’m going to put them? Yep, border security. So start thinking about what you’re going to do with your oil and you immigration policies.
Oh by the way, Do you remember NAFTA? Well from now on we don’t!
America is tired of being threatened by oil countries and will start drilling for oil and building refineries to handle the oil we find and the Arabs be damned! If you’re an environmentalist who is opposed this; please refer to the countries on list two, pick one, and move there.
It is time for America and Americans to focus on the welfare of its own. Some will call this isolationism. I say it’s about time. America needs to pull together and its people need to pull their own weight; people need to take responsibility for their own actions. America can be great again, but it will take all of us.
For centuries we have tried to help people around the world lead better lives. All this has been rewarded with the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It’s time to eliminate hunger in America. It’s time to eliminate homelessness in America.
To those countries on the first list we thank you and you will not be forgotten. To those countries on list two – well you might think about learning to speak Arabic.
God bless and good night.

Someone who doesn't want to be there.
In that respect they would probably be the most responsible and caring for the nation, and yet would realize how difficult it is to be the president.

I'm leaning towards Borak Obama. He's intelligent, articulate (unlike our current president) and he's not Hilary.

Bill Clinton back in a flash.
And he can do whatever he likes, with whoever he likes.
But the mess will be sorted out.

I would want to see Condi Rice as the President. She is brilliant, and does not sway with the prevailing winds of popular opinion.
