For really dirty floors, just mop it with diluted pine sol ir whatever you prefer. Wood floors can be mopped with soap and water, they are not as fragile as people think. Just wring your mop out good and dont leave standing water. Then, after that is dry, you may want to go over it with something for shine. I used to love (when I had wood floors) this stuff called Orange Glo. You can get it at the grocery store, and it comes in like a squeeze bottle. Get a slightly damp mop (damp with plain water) and squirt the cleaner on the floor and mop...its so easy and leaves a great shine! good luck!

There is this wood polish, it's sort of like a wax, it's called SC Johnson One Step No Buff Wax. It's pretty good when getting rid of the dirt marks, but one has to rub the cloth on the floor repetitively to actually get rid of the dirt marks. Eventually it slowly disappears itself since rubbing removes the trick. I guess you can try this, it helps me a lot. Or maybe some other wood cleaners.

I make a paste out of baking soda and water, agitate into the dirt mark, and wipe away the residue with a damp terry towel. Works on scuffs and most skid marks and dirt without scratching the wood flooring.

Murphy's tends to leave streaks. Better are Orange Glo and Pledge Wood Floor Cleaners. Please don't use the Magic Erasers as they will leave scratch marks on your wood floor. Touch ups....just damp mop.

appears like the timber wasn't sealed suitable first of all so truly some that dust has soaked into the grain. Hate to assert it yet i'm wondering that refinishing is going to be your perfect guess.

I buy it at KingSoopers, but your local flooring store should have it also.
