As long as the blacks keep this racial stuff going on? What are you smoking? Imus is the one that made the racial slurs. How could you blame blacks for being angry. You would feel the same way if you turned on the radio and heard someone calling you names just because of your color. The fact is that a radio program is still a job. When you are on the job, whatever you do or say reflects on your employers. Now try to think of how many jobs you or your folks or your friends have had where they could make racially insensitive or sexist comments and get away with it. If you thought some examples, guess what? It was either a really low brow job, or you work for your family. 99% of employers in America will fire you on the spot for making comments like that on the job. The other 1% is going to find themselves in court and will lose business over it. So I don't see how they could possibly NOT fire him. Imus is not above the law. He is not above the rest of us who have to treat people with respect on the job. What he said was wrong, regardless of whether or not blacks make a big deal out of it or not, and his employers had no choice but to let him go. In the same place, you would do it too. If you didn't, you'd pay for it with major loss of revenue. This is not a big secret. It is business. Don Imus knew this, and he still made the comments. So no matter how much everyone overreacted, and they definitely did, Imus got what he had coming to him. End of story. If you want to be a racist about it, then so be it, but you're making the rest of us look bad.

I hear ya!!! Im tired of hearin it too, so mad that I have to stop listening or Im liable to go protest somewhere! enough already. the man has apologized and paid for this! I dont think anyone was that offended til Al got his nose stuck in it and lit the fire,,,, and now, we have hillary jumping on the bandwagon , trying to get her some votes off this!!!!! like I said before being insulted in this life, is a part of life and its time to grow up and quit crying everytime someone says something. How is the racial divide ever gonna change if everyone keeps picking at the wounds! What is the first thing you learn as a kid, DONT PICK THE SORE OR IT JUST GETS WORSE!
how can anyone say it isnt hard bein white! especially a white woman? We have the same sexist jokes tossed onto us on a daily basis also! everywhere you look,,, You try having to watch every word you say or every action you make in fear that it will hurt another persons feelings.I grew up being teased, I know it hurts, but thats a tough part of life all I can do is teach my children not to judge others, but one of these answers here is hypocritical,,, they say black is hard, white is easy,,, and not to judge until youve been in those shoes,,, then how can they say white is easy unless theyve been there

Im not sick of it, im offended by it.
If I lost my job, over some stupid sh*t like that, I would talk to those girls (which Imus is going to do) and tell them "are you happy now, i lost my job. I know you dont really care what i said, and in life, you're probably gonna get called a lot worse than that, in fact, its not gonna be long before someone calls you a ***** to your face." The fact is nothing racist was said at all. 'Nappy' means messy, and 'hos' is insensitive to women, not black people, and if anything, feminist groups should be on him, and for that matter, personally, the next time a black person thinks its okay to say cracker on any kind of airwave, i hope they get fired from whatever silly sitcom its on.

Its not about Imus, its about this double standard thats getting out of control.

I'm sick of it all...

Look both african americans and white americans have been going back and forth...It's time for someone other than Al and Jesse to step up and say no more...

I can't speak for all african american's but as for me...that remark was racist, it wasn't nice and it hurt my feelings...Why? because I have been called the same thing by blacks and whites...it's not cute, funny or nice...It hurts..

And if you can't relate then you shouldn't respond...Being black is hard, i'll say yes, harder than whites...No i'm not racist it's a fact...there are so many stereotypes against you... you have people degrading you each and everyday...How many white people can say the same...

Like I said before I'm speaking for myself...It's hard and blacks are just in the wrong as whites are....but you have to realize we aren't calling you out on like he called them out...

Do this before you make a statement rent school daze....By spike lee... and then come back and make your point....

Chattica,

Shame on you. Don't you know that a lot of money is being made in journalism by keeping the ball rolling.

These people know when they got a winner and will milk it for all its' worth.

And we are going to continue to watch it just to see if the black community cleans up their act and stop degrading their
women and stop bringing their children up in this type of climate.

i'm sick of how it's ok for black people to make fun of themselves and everyone else, but if other people (especially white), it's automatically racism.
