how did laverne die? and when did this happen? i was shocked when i watched that episode last night.

Two weeks ago a minor plotline of the episode was Laverne and Dr. Cox arguing about whether god does everything for a reason and just as Dr. Cox was about to concede (a big step for him) Laverne was brought in from a car accident. She was in a coma for all of last week's episode until her family decided to pull the plug. It was really sad.

she got into a horrible car accident on her way to work!!! dr. cox and her the day before had been talking about how her faith in god/religion is useless and that is why he is taking it so badly.
