it depends on how fast your going...

at our current technological level (i.e. space shuttle speed) it would be around 6 months.

the ESA is currently doing an experiment on wether it will be possible for several crewmemebers to live an isolated environment for that amount of time.

Sorry, but your question is meaningless without a referent. How long does it take WHAT to get from Mars to Earth? Light? A rocket using our present technology? A '63 Chevy? Notice I said Mars to Earth---same as your question to Mars from Earth. Please be more specific.

Based on current technology and our ability it would take 7 months; however, what is required on the space ship is the ability to create "false gravity" so that the astronauts would be able to exercise the muscles. In addition to this we would also need a way to replenish and provide for H2O. Another complication is that the window for departure is a mere 60 days a year (based on planetary angulation).

There are other considerations/milestones that have to be crossed; however, I hope this helps you in your research. Fun Topic! Best of Luck!

In a regular space craft, flying to Mars takes about 6 months. In a nucleur space craft it takes 9 hours.

6 to 9 months using a minimum energy transfer orbit. It varies because Mars is in an elliptical orbit.

It depends on how fast you are travelling. It is approx 47 million miles from earth. So figure speed into the distance and you will have your time.

6 months at best for spacecraft. Depends on your speed. Light takes about 5 minutes.

Depends on your route and if you need to gain speed from the inner planets. Nine monthhs or so to a few years
