i have intentions of cutting holes in marble and granite

Og is right, Drill motor is OK, Especially if it is an angle drill but you can do it with grinder, and marble (stone)cutting hole saw. you can make a putty dam around the hold to be drilled and pour water in the hole to keep the bit cooled down.

If you are talking about round drill bits, you would not do it with an angle grinder. You can get diamond wheels for an angle grinder to cut marble. Holes are made with special bits and a drill motor.

there are hundreds of angle grinders on the market. Depends on the type you buy
