After I had my second son I got post partum depression, and after that I was on like almost 600mg of some kind of depression pill. It's been like maybe one year and a half since I stopped all those depression pills, but currently sometimes take my Trazodone that I got put on recently because I was starting to fee anxious, sad, etc.. But I do not take it every day.I was just wondering, if I were to ever get my tubes untied and try to conceive, would my past "depression pills" affect me or my baby?

It is highly unlikely that your past use of antidepressants will effect your chances of further pregnancies.
However, if you are still taking an antianxiety medication, its best to talk to your doctor about its effect on trying to conceive and pregnancy.

It's unlikely that a depression pill you took when you were not pregnant would affect future pregnancies, but you will need to talk about that with your doctor. You would probably have a greater tendency to have post partum depression after subsequent children because you've already had post partum depression.

There can also sometimes be challenges conceiving after a tubal ligation reversal.

My suggestion is that if you want to have another child you consider adoption. But really, talk to your doctor- a professional who knows you.

Given your history your challenge to conception would most likely be the tubal. It takes a lot of women many cycles to get back to "normal." You are also more likely to get PPD again with subsequent babies. I've never heard that antidepressents affect fertility in the long run.

And you probably won't want to be on anti-anxiety meds if you want to try and conceive. A doctor will know what's safe to take (if there is a safe antidepressent) while trying to conceive or pregnant.
