I don't get it - it was a lame joke on the radio. Guess what folks... shock jocks make jokes and make fun of people... thats what there job is. That is what a big part of comedy is about. GEEESH. Learn to take a joke. We make fun of white folks all the time on HOT 97... Peeps on Wendy Williams show makes fun of whites and gays. You don't hear them whining about it and calling for wendy to be fired. so much for free speech... we can say goodbye to comedy.

Black people get over yourselves and stop playing the freakin victim, slavery was hundreds of years ago. Educate yourselves and learn what a double standard is (i.e. we can call ourselves n*ggas but we freak out on whitey if they do it)
PS I'm black and educated myself to get out of the "victim mindset" and escaped the ghetto. I advise my brothers and sisters to do the same, and stop being led astray by charlatans like sharpton.

Because it gave Sharpton a chance to divert attention from yet another racist attack by him on innocent men purely because they were white. Doesn't that sound a bit racist. Sharpton went to the media over the Duke case and demanded trial by media with the accused found guilty before any evidence was collected. You would have thought he would have learned after the Brawley case where he did exactly the same thing with exactly the same outcome.

Imus was wrong but why should he be punished for expressing racism in the media when his greatest critic and attacker, Sharpton, has done exactly the same thing and got away with it. And Sharpton has added hypocrisy and greed to his bigotry.

Exactly.

A good man brought down by a bunch of PC twerps.

That press conference Rutgers had the other day was one of the most overly maudlin things I've ever seen.

Then Oprah reads poetry during a group hug.

All over a ******* one liner.

I would like to know how much money AL SHARPTON has raised for sick kids (white and black)..

Imus used some poor words, but his actions towards cancer kids were rich...

CBS stopped his telethon raising money for sick kids to fire him. I think CBS owes those kids and their parents an apolgy.

Joke is one thing - he was on the RADIO. This is a position of responsibility. He was responsible to the public ot keep his remarks PC, REGARDLESS of how he himself may feel. THIS is hwere he made his mistake.

And besides, he apologized and the apology was accepted. Let it go.
