Im secretly hoping for a boy but my husband is convinced its a girl. He picked out the name Shea and I think its lovely since we have an Irish last name, both moms despise it, we dont really care but what do you think?

Don't let others (even family members) opinions affect your decision, its a beautiful name and the best part is that its the name you and your husband chose for your child. If the two of you love it go with it. If your mother would like to name a baby she can go ahead and have one herself ;)

I think it sounds pretty to say and looks nice written out, too. Very unique and it will go well with an Irish surname.

Congrats!

I think it's lovely. You don't see it very much these days, but that's good, too. Your moms will love the baby, so they will get used to the name. My mom didn't love the names we picked out either, but it isn't about them. They had their chance to name their children :)

How do you pronounce it (is it shay or she-ah)? I know you've experienced teachers butchering names, even as easy as Shea!
