Regarding 2007 cricket world cup.
They are in a good shape.They have flair & talent.
S>L> have most varied bowling attack in this cup
new zealand so called favourites found out how strong lankans are .
Now most immportantly they hanve rekindled their ability to win in alien ,overseas conditions.
( such as Carribean conditions)
They proved that in Guyana's newest stadium..
And Granada too...
the hurdle started when they topple high riding Indians.
They defeated star studded Indian team with clinical aproach.
South Africans escaaped unscathed by desimal points.
it was lucky for African part.
As Mahela puts..........."It's time to be ruthless".
Can you remember,..It was supposed to ...be Indian's, world cup this time.
Sachin being senior most he should have waited until right moment comes.
But these blokes from "Sri Lanka" had other ideas.
Furthermore it was 250 runs to get....
Lankans got it by running between wickets.
They have come of age now.
they are cunning as foxes now.
in1996 cup they had this kind of team.
Australian dominance may decline in near fure in front of these fighting Sri Lankans....Nobody knows..
We have solid facts for that....
SL has upper hand...for future games..

Though they beat india They still had to give their best ever performance..
They almost won with South Africa.,by Malinga heroics.
Now It's Sri Lanka's time to be Called As,...

Their.. ballers and fielders taught how to win when you ,balling second time.
When Robin Uthappa and Sourav Ganguly walked in, India had a target of just 255 runs, on a wicket which had dried and gone flatter.
But nobody showed the charactor to stay on,
Anybody can be so sure that ,the turning point was Sachin’s getting out to Big-Fernando, through the gate for a duck.
.Like wise when Vass on full flaw any thing can happen.
History may repeat this time like 1996.
Whatever little chances India had went up in flames ...
when Yuvraj was run out by Lankans.
They made presure on much favoured Indians.
Next,New Zealand & England had felt the presure.
It is really worth analysing the difference among the teams.
. India’s strength was batting and given the proper conditions, their medium pacers and the spinners could be devastating.
If not, Indian's shoulders start drooping and the bowling goes haywire with all kind of experimentations. It could happen to the batting too.
Exactly opposite are Sri Lanka, except that their batting is as good if not better. Other big teams were the big brothers when they started. Now Lankans are the elders.
What an irony. They are better fielders for sure, and the bowlers bowl to the field under any circumstances unless it’s a completely off day for them.
Muralitharan,Vass,Malinga & Dilhara.. is just outstanding. And most importantly, they play as a team and not as individuals.
And that’s the thin line that differentiated the two teams. We saw absolutely no regional biases, despite all kinds of problems in their small country.
They had civil war,& Tsunami.
But still they rise like legendery phinix bird.
So wait,fans more fire works yet to come...
They now have to beat only 3 teams to advance easyly to much awaited semi finals.
My unbias Verdict is Lankans Have 90 percent chance to grab the CUP.
Cuz,... 1996 they hadthis knd of a amazing team..
1996 they had this uncanny luck too.
they are the worthy winners..

undoubtedly , srilanka has every chance to win this world cup. the reasons are many- they are a balanced team now, vaas and murali are at their peak, jayasuriya ,probably playing his lat world cup is is in rip roaring form, kumara sangakara and jayawardena is consistent, the lower order is well balanced. but above all they should be riding on very high morale after defeating NZ. if there is one team which can spoil their WC dream, and its not hard to guess that it is the aussies! cos hayden, gilchrtist, pointing , symonds , clark are all on song now. the ausie bowling strenght is superberly good. ...
conclusion- i think sri lanka and australia are gonna be there in the finals. it will be a hard battle and whoever win, there aint gonna be a looser! (if u know what i mean)

If they continue to play the way they are playing now then I would say they are no.2 favorites after Aussies and on the given day they can thrash any team so why cant they win the cup while in fact they have done it before and that too by beating Australia.

If Srilanka beat Australia in Super 8 , then I can say that lankans can win world-cup.

As long as Aussies are there not only Sri lanka but no other country can win the world cup. but yes if sri lankans continue to play like this then they can definitely play the finals with of course Australia

If India win agsint Sri Lanka, India have 99% chance to reach in Super 8, because India have good run rate.

Yes, If Jayasuriya continue!!
By comparing SL with AUS they are not looking strong in case of Batting!, but they are very good in Bowling and excellent fileding than AUS, but if Jayasuriya continue the same perfomance like some big score againist australia, then they will win .

Yea!.
The Lankans definitely have bright chances of winning the world cup.Almost all the players are consistent and even if one fails to perform, another plays well.
The team spirit is simply superb.

hmmmmm good qstoin ok lez c the aussies play murli really well and they also play vaas really well and they bowl real well to jayasuriya. So unless aussies play real bad and also sa play real bad i dont c sri lanka pulling this one through.Also u have to see the xpierence the aussies have i mean expeirence of playing in wc finals they have played in all world cup finals since 1996 d az 3 and won 2 not a bad record one may think so they r prolly fav to win this one 2

Sri Lanka have defenitely a chance to win the world cup if they countinue to perform they have been performing till now consistently from now on.
