I recieve health insurance assistance from the state for my daughter and I. My job offers health benefits, but they are very expensive and do not offer very good coverage. I think this is a problem for many people. And what's worse, there are a lot of people who are just above the poverty bracket so they cannot recieve any assistance but cannot afford health benefits or the deductible if they were to go to the hospital for anything.
Not only that, our country is majorly lacking in job availability, which makes it difficult for people who are below the poverty level to find new work if they lose their job or to find better work. Hopefully a new president will help to fix these problems.

No I do not have health insurance, because I work for an individual and I do not feel the need to get it on my own. I have changed my diet and take organic vitamins...I have not needed to go to the doctors for three years now.
Now if I get in an accident...yeah I am screwed, but I will just take up a collection on Y!Answers if that ever happens LOL (kidding)

Me. When I got a divorce one of the stipulations was that he let me keep our health insurance. He flaked, and BC/BS wouldn't take me back because of pre-existing conditions. So I'm SOL. I've put off a lot of health things because nobody will take me, or if they do they charge an arm and a leg which I can't afford right now. I'm waiting for my husband's insurance to kick in at his new job.
Sucks.

I was covered but not anymore at the moment. I have to wait until open enrollment come back around at my job before I can apply. I tried putting it off because it is very expensive, and the deductible is rather outrageous. But overall, it is alot cheaper then paying thousands of dollars.

we have it...double coverage. one through the military and one through my husbands work. It is a must! We have kids and my hubby got a kidney disease from the military. We could not do without it.
There are several people that I know that do not have insurance b/c it is too expensive.
