I'm half with you. The refs were all over everyone, and I'd say mostly against Ottawa. Ottawa had close to 50% more penalties than Pittsburgh. (Okay, I looked, and it is 45% more.) In the 3rd period, Ottawa had 6 penalties and Pittsburgh had 1. I don't think it was for any other reason than the Ottawa was leading by so much. I wont count the offsetting penalties in the final minute.
It's a classic example of be careful what you wish for Mr Crosby. You thought penalties were against you, but it was more there was just too many penalties called.
That's my neutral opinion from the West.

NO, it not just you. I've watched all three games and some of the calls against the pens have been questionable for them it seems like the sens are getting a better deal on there side. Take the hit from behind on Rob Scuderi last night if that would of been a pen doing the hitting from behind you would of seen a 5 minute penalty on them and that just how the series is going and its not because of me being a pens fan and them being down 2-1 its about how the games are being called

I watched the whole game and thought the officials did a pretty good job. Like the others said, when a team is so outplayed, it's not unusual for them to take a lot of penalties.
And while I thought the disallowed goal was marginal, I think they made a reasonable call. There is more to the rule than just a "distinctive kicking motion" as quoted by many. You can not "purposely" direct or redirect the puck in to the goal with any thing other than your stick. Whether Sidney moved his leg on purpose or not, he did move it resulting in the puck being pushed in to the goal. It did not "bounce" as many claimed.

It is you. You must be a Pens fan to actually think the refs were onesided. There were calls that could have been called on Pittsburgh that wasnt called. Pittsburgh was just physically and mentally out played..so dont blame the refs.

It is you. I used to think the same thing back in the early 90s watching Fraser and Koharski call all these freakin lame penalties at very crucial moments in a game while missing some obvious infractions taking place right in front of their eyes.
It balances out and the bad calls (ubiquitous as they are) are made against both teams.

No it was you. You must be a Pens fan to think that the outcome of a game that was so dominated by one team over another could have anything to do with officiating.
Pittsburgh got outplayed and had to take penalties or there would have been more goals. 6-3 was flattering to them, it could have been much worse.

yet with the aid of posting this question are not you being in simple terms like the Senator, Ranger, and Flyers followers? stop complaining bearing directly to the Refs. The Pens misplaced as a results of fact the Flyers owned them in first era. you're team remains up 3 video games to one and is going to the Stanley Cup finals, so in simple terms loosen up, take a seat returned and stop whining like the followers you apparently do no longer desire to be like. and that i did no longer see Briere dive as quickly as yet whilst he did i assume he's taking word to Malkin's play of late as a results of fact it sort of feels every time you get close to this guy he hits the ice. Joe B - LMAO... i'm no longer able to have faith I ignored that. yet besides collectively as we are giving out congradulations, i could desire to congradulate the Flyers on a huge win. It appears like the Pittsburgh college structures are not that particularly extra suitable than Philadelphia's in spite of each and every thing.

It's you. I don't think they are one sided, they just try and call more penalties and not miss anything. That hurts mroe physical teams. Last night in the TB NJ match, Gionta skated full force into Lecavalier and hit his face into Lecavalier's elbow (Gionta's own fault) and then they called elbowing on Lecavalier. That's like crosschecking a guy and the guy who got crosschecked gets called for interference.
