The FBI publishes annual figures for crime by city in its "Uniform Crime Reports". They distinguish between "violent crime" and "property crime", so you might have to dig a little for the information you want.

In terms of per capita violent crime, the worst cities in the US in 2005 were Detroit, St. Louis, and Flint, Michigan.

Welll, Modesto, Ca. seems to have one of the highest car-theft rates in the country. The worst part? I live in Modesto :(

Houston,TX. It's dirty, humid, just a gross place to be!!!!! And Oh-yes it's got more than it's share of crime.

Washington D.C. High murder rate AND it is full of politicians. You can't be THOSE criminals!
