We've got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, 'Stay the course.'

Iacocca couldn't get Chrysler out of bankruptcy without a loan from the government. Not only that, how can you steer a ship of state over a cliff? Wouldn't a waterfall be more appropriate?

My favorite quote from the article:" He accuses Bush of substituting macho for courage: "Swagger isn't courage. Tough talk isn't courage. Courage in the twenty-first century doesn't mean posturing and bravado. Courage is a commitment to sit down at the negotiating table and talk."
For bush, talk takes more sack. He can't put together a coherent sentence and most Americans know this. Since he can send troops without having to go, he'd rather do this.

I'd like to think that the results of the last election (which gutted the Republican power monopoly) and Bush/Cheney's worse than dismal approval ratings are proof that, while Americans can be slow to act, the majority are no longer willing to "stay the course."

Just don't forget to vote, even if you live in Florida.

I agree with a lot of what he says, but I have to wonder, if he is worried about corporate gangsters, why did he back De Vos in the last election?

You are the kind of person that would be comical if you weren't so dangerous. You think your biased opinion holds weight? What, you want the govenrment to fix all of your problems? You represent every liberal that won't take any responsibility for anything, you blame the government, blame oil companies, blame corporate America. What have you done to clean up hurricanes? Complain, and whine?

Another good reason to NEVER buy a Chrysler product ever.

I guess it takes a corporate gangster to know one.

Yep! That pretty much describes the last six years, alright. The winds are about to change on that ship of state and perhaps avert the downward plunge.

Sounds like Sharpton running off at the mouth again, typical liberal afrosamurai. If he was head of some corporate entity instead of bottom feeding off racial prejudice he'd be singing a different tune. Where's his organization to help the people in New Orleans, nonexistant....stay the course, hypocrit.

Oh you should relax, dearie. The Democrats are going to make things right any day now and save us all. In reality all this nation has done is exchange one brand of "clueless bozos" for another brand. It's always been that way, will always be that way until this nation is done shooting itself in the foot.
