I would put Harding, instead. Noted for the plethora of industry people he put in, who were unabashedly pro business.

Harding's administration was quite corrupt. Several oil leases were awarded based on bribes - the so-called Teapot Dome scandal.

This was the "return to normalcy"

Harding, Coolidge and Hoover were part of generations of Republicans. For about fifty years, Republicans largely owned the White House, with occasional split inter-party rifts that allowed a Democrat (Woodrow Wilson) into power.

Nixon, he put the beating on the dollar with its destandardization; Hoover cant be blamed for the depression especially in modern terms since the previous administration is usually part of big problems like that. Look at how long it took us to recover from the recession in the 90's the great depression today would take much longer than it did in the past

History lesson dinodino - impeached Presidents? Get a clue

GWBush comes closest to Reagan. Reagan was the "cowboy" fighting the the "evil" Soviet Union, the spread of communism and protecting the virtues of democracy. He was largely vilified by the left for his "corruption", his "bully tactics" and "dangerous" foreign policies. In the end, his decisions, actions, policies etc. changed our country for the good and protected our liberties, freedoms and safety. These are all the same and more ways in which the left vilifies our current President in his war on terror despite the fact that he has kept us safer.

What happened to Carter, Johnson, Truman?

Carter made lousy military decisions. Johnson escalated Vietnam and took HUGE casualties, Truman got us into Korea (and we're still there).

It's a hybrid of Nixon and Hoover - with an insertion of a "super loser" gene.

I vote Nixon. He's disliked by both parties, he's stubborn and seems to have no clue what the public opinion of him really is. (If he has any clue at all, he blames the media).
