NINE EARLY SIGNS OF PREGNANCY
Soon after you suspect that you're pregnant, your body will confirm your suspicions. While the symptoms differ in each woman, here are nine early signs of pregnancy:

1. Fatigue – you no longer have stamina for usual activities, such as walking up a hill or staying awake until midnight. This is because your body is demanding huge amounts of energy to make the changes for pregnancy.

2. Nausea and vomiting – morning sickness may be confused with the flu or feeling like you're "coming down with something." You may feel queasy, have nausea all day long, or vomit and have dry heaves. (See Morning Sickness)

3. Missed menstrual period. While nonpregnancy-related issues, such as stress, can cause you to miss a period, this is a first sign of pregnancy, too.

4. Slight staining or spotting. Bleeding at the time of implantation can be mistaken for menstruation. Some women have bleeding in the early months of pregnancy at the time when they would have menstruated.

5. Aversions to odors, alcohol, and smoke. Once you are pregnant, baby-protective mechanisms click in. You will notice how coffee, alcohol, and cigarette smoke make you ill.

6. Food cravings. Once you become pregnant, you may mysteriously crave foods that you seldom ate before. Your tastes may change from sweet to salty or vice versa.

7. Breast changes. The changes are similar to premenstrual feelings in your breasts only more dramatic: nipples tingle, breasts feel tender and fuller, the areola begins to darken, and tiny glands on the areola enlarge.

8. Crampy pelvic discomfort. This discomfort may be felt throughout the lower abdomen and pelvis. (A sharp one-sided pain is not normal and your doctor should be notified.)

9. Frequent urination. From the beginning, you will urinate more often due to pregnancy hormones. (Later on, you will have frequent urination because of pressure on the bladder from the enlarging uterus.)

One question at a time: It is normal for a woman in her first trimester to cramp. These cramps are similar to those before a period. But they should not be sharp or unrelenting. Also, two weeks would be really early for a test to detect pregnancy. She needs to go to the doctor. As for the other question: With her being 15, she can go to the health dept in your area. The test are confidential and free. But, should the pain become unbearable and bleeding start, you need to take her to the ER. She could have some serious problems other than pregnancy. Good luck and be responsible about this.

She can go down to the dollar store and buy a home pregnancy test first. If you don't have a dollar store or $.99 Only store in your area, a great place to start would be the pharmacy. HPT's are anywhere from $8-20 at a regular pharmacy.

The first signs of pregnancy are:
Missed Period
menstrual type cramps
sore breasts
moodiness

The other symptoms like morning sickness don't come until about 8 weeks pregnant.

If she's usually regular and has missed a period that's a good sign she's pregnant. After 10-14 days the embryo emplants in the uterus and sometimes this causes spotting and cramping.

The best time to test is first thing in the morning when hormone levels are highest. Either one of you could to to a drug store and get an inexpensive test.

Some other early signs are having to pee alot, nausea or vomiting and other stomach problems like constipation or bloating. Some women get tender breasts, especially if it is their first baby.

I will pray for your friend. If she is pregant I hope she will do the best thing for her little baby. If she is not pregnant, maybe she should consider abstinence. There is no such thing as safe sex.

How can she get tested? With a home pregnancy test (hpt) have her go to a dollar store if she doesnt have money, if she has money have her buy the digital ones that are sold at just about any pharmacy. OR she can go to Planned Parenthood or any other teen clinic and she can either get a free or low cost blood test. How late is she? If she's not that late, then it could be her period coming up (has happened to me before), if she is more than a couple days late, then she could be pregnant. Either way get have her get tested. Goodluck

She can get a pregnancy test at any drugstore, target, wal mart, etc. Otherwise she can go to her Drs office, or any planned parenthood.

Cramps can and usually do mean a period is coming. Most women dont get cramps early in a pregnancy.

Also, while at the drug store, she should purchase some condoms. 15 is way too young to be having sex, but if she is already, then she needs to at least protect herself from STDs and pregnancy.

pregnancy symptoms don't usually start with stomach cramps. Normally the first sign is a missed period. The other are swollen breasts. She can buy a home pregnancy test. Also encourange her that if she is pregnant she needs pre-natal care. She needs to tell her parents

Buy a home pregnancy test. They are pretty accurate these days. Could the cramps be menstruating cramps? Sore breasts & nausea were signs I had I was pregnant.

Buy a 7 dollar pregnancy test at walmart. You dont have to be 18 to buy one. Do that before you worry your parents. They are very accurate. And remember use condoms, birth control pills only prevent pregnancy. Remember 1 in 10 people have AIDS, or other diseases please be safe.

It sounds like she is getting her period. But if she wants to get tested go to planned parenthood. It's free and they don't ask questions or call your parents.
