Yea, he was pro-choice too, until he started his presidential bid.
Can anyone say FLIP-FLOP?
Oh and did you know he's hunted all his life? I guess shooting at squirrels a couple of times makes you a lifelong outdoorsman right?

Not necessarily "gay marriage", but when he was running against Ted Kennedy in 1994, he was a strong supporter of equal rights for gay and lesbian couples and went out of his way to court gay voters. Of course, he was also once pro-choice as well. His position on these issues has, of course, shifted considerably to the Right since he's no longer running for Senator/Governor of a very liberal state.
Anyone else experiencing deja-vu? GWB "used" to be a live-and-let-live, "compassionate conservative", equality for everyone type of guy, until he was elected- with the help of the Religious Right. Every time he tries to slip back into the heathenous role of compassionate conservative, the social conservatives circle him like a pack of hyenas until he backs down.

Flip floppers on all sides, what's your point? Politicians are greedy self-serving whores, why flip out when they do what's expected of theM?
