He goes to Baghdad to try to convince us that it is safe over there. Within a few days, the parliament gets blown up. Whoops! Guess it is not that safe after all!

McCain had helicopters over head and 100 soldiers accompany him through the streets of Baghdad-That seems safe?
He later said he miss-spoken.
Republicans are miss-spoken. Democrats lie what's the difference?

John McCain went to Baghdad in preparation for his appearance on 60 minutes--for no other reason. He didn't realize that his "visit" would be videotaped nor that we would see all of his 'security' detail or the helicopters overhead. John McCain is over - done with. He's too old to be president anyway.and at his age, he should just stop telling lies.
Nothing more pathetic than an OLD liar.

John McCain spoke to VMI(Virginia Military Institute)this week. Seated on the first row, were 17 cadets who had served in Iraq. VMI has lost eight alumni in Iraq and Afghanistan. My son was one of the cadets seated in the audience. I haven't heard his review of McCain's speech, but like most in the military, they look at this war as their duty if called to serve. My son will be graduating VMI next month, he's in the Air National Guard and will commission in the Air Force this Fall. The war is with me every day. Most of those cadets who served in the war, had hardly seen 19 years old. Many of them came back with Purple Hearts. That didn't make the news paper, but should have. These Senators and limelight seekers, who venture into War Zones to "visit", are putting everyone in danger. Our troops have to rearrange their duties and jeopardize their own safety to chauffeur these fools around. I realize McCain was a POW and I respect him and his family for enduring what they did. But don't stand in front of my son and his Brother Rats, defending this war. They might be able to deal with it...but Mama can't.

If I was guarded by 100 troops, i'd feel safe too.

McCain is a hypocrite, and Baghdad is no safer now that it was in 2003.

If you had any knowledge of what Mr. McCain went through during the Vietnam war, you would NEVER speak of him in those tones!
