To back up your mail you will need to do the following depending on which program you are using.
For Outlook Express: GO to My Computer Then at the top select tools then folder options and select show hidden files.
After that you go to the C: drive , click on documents and settings, your profile floder ( which is the same as your login name to windows), local settings ,aplication data, identities, then you will see a folder with a weird combination of numbers and letters, click on it then click microsoft and you will see the Outlook Express folder . This folder has your mail in it ,copy or drag folder to your burning program. Depending on how large your mail folder is you might have to use a blank DVD to back it up.
If you ever have to restore your mail you open outlook express , go to file then import then messages, select MS outlook express 6 and select import mail from an oe6 store directory. Press ok and browse for the Folder you have backed up on the CD OR DVD.
For Microsoft Outlook Users:
GO to File in MS Outlook then Import/Export option, select export to file, select personal folder file, select include sub folders, then after going to the next option you will be asked to browse for a location to save file, Select desktop and give the backup file a name and press ok. You will then see the backup porgress and when it is complete you can burn the file from the desktop to a cd or DVD depending on the size .
Thats it
Hope I have been of help to you.

Open your CD burning program. Some allow you to drag and drop into a specific place to prepare for burning. I use both Roxio and Nero for this. Good luck.
