you type in the password when prompted for the login to windows. if you are the only user on the computer, then you are the administrator. if you are not the one who setup the computer and there are multiple users, you need to talk to the administrator. good luck!

Boot the computer into Safe Mode by turning it on and repeatedly pressing the F8 key until you get a screen with a "Safe Mode" option. From the login screen, select the "administrator" on the PC. Enter the administrator password (if your PC came with Windows already installed, try leaving the password field blank). Press Enter and you should be logged in as "administrator".

I assume this is windows xp. to access the administrator account, you need to boot into safe mode. reboot your computer, and press f8 right before the windows xp logo appears. a menu will appear, choose start in safe mode. then a new logon name will appear on top of your name, it says administrator. click it then log on. if it asks for a password, then that is another story.....

When you're on as, "yourself", go through Start--> Logoff, then when you can Logon, real quick hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and magically, if there is one, the Administrator userid will be available to click and logon.

BUT BE WARNED!!!! You darned well better know YOUR and/or the ADMINISTRATOR's logon password in advance, else you'll have a hard row to hoe!!!

I'll assume you're using Windows XP and that you know the Administrator password. At the welcome screen, press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice. This will bring up a window where you can enter a username and password.
