If you are looking for an area where you might find a large African American cultural community and events, most likely South Phoenix around 24th St to 7th Ave and Baseline to Broadway and the South Mountain Community Center has many events. There is also a lot of Hispanic culture and shops in this region mixed in. Eastlake Recreation Center on Jefferson & 16th St has African drumming & dance classes on Saturday early afternoons for free.

Black people live all over Arizona, they don't reside in just one city.

I live in a fairly decent neighborhood just outside of Phoenix and I have neighbors who are black and they are pretty pleasant. I've never had any problems with them. They are a hard working, respectable couple.

If you are looking to be in a city where there are only white people, you need to move to a tiny little town in the middle of no where.

Phoenix, and the surrounding area is HUGE. You are going to find people from all different races and backgrounds living in Phoenix.

You have to remember that the further west coast you are the less blacks.

I live in Atlanta, almost 60 percent black. The black capital of the country. and some of the best looking black women I have ever seen!

Atlanta is the spot for a true black professional. If i was black, I would never live in Arizona, way too white!

Phoenix, and good luck, this is a racist country, but Arizona is even more racist than some places.

I think there is good community in Tempe too.

I absolutely love these people that accuse everyone else of being racist and then drive out to their lily white suburb.

I'm not racist. But thank you for stereotyping. That's the way most racist think.
