I can't imagine trying to give an educated guess or answer to a question and spell it wrong. I mean are you really able take someone seriously if every other word they type is spelled wrong

I wholeheartedly agree with you on this one...I come from the tail end of a generation in which proper spelling and punctuation is a must and you should be judged accordingly....nowadays...not so much...everything is "wtf" and "lol" and "iculdn'tspeelifhmylifedepindedonit."

Yes.....it only takes a few seconds to look above your question or answer box and click on "Check Spelling" to make sure you have spelled your words right. If the word is incorrectly spelled a red line will appear under your word.

Yes, absolutely. It shows not only a lack of English skills and education, it denotes a laziness and lack of care. Spelling is extremely important and it does matter. Even with spellcheck, people should know how tp spell and not depend on other methods to do their spelling for them. Of course, it is important to note the difference between a spelling error and a typo.

I don't become angry about it. Sometimes people are just having fun on one question and answering the rest pretty much seriously.... Oh, and I can't help but notice how many people at this website complain about grammar and spelling, but do not notice their own grammatical errors. I wonder if that carries over into other areas of their lives.

Yeah. But sometimes I think that people just make plain mistakes. Either that or they are just uneducated.. but I usually hope that its the first one.

It can be irritating but I've done it too when I was typing too fast so I can't pick on them because I'd be pickin' on myself.

yeah and then those of us who get annoyed by it get jumped on for trying to be perfectionists. no, I just paid attention in English class, that's all.
