For some reason, I think some people are trying to 'rope' Obama in with those two nutty "Reverends". That are on a rampage. Please don't, I don't read a question on yahoo answers saying that he wouldn't vote for Obama because of the two "Reverends".

Obama has his opinions and he is entitled to them, but I don't think people should vote for him because of Al and Jesse. It's not his fault. Yes, pick on Al and Jesse all you want because they are hipocrites, but Obama isn't and shouldn't be labaled because of them.

Personally, I think he's make an Awesome president ... along with Mrs.Clinton as the VP ;)

OMG, we have a President and A Vice President right now with more then enough experience ... and they still can do anything right. Sorry but the cons far way out the pros with me. I'm sick of the current adminstration (Yes I am)

Haha, he has not platform huh? Those with tons of experience are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Sorry but its the truth. Experience doesn't make the person ... experience just means that you are probably really old and very head-strong.

I'm more of the Clinton/Obama contingent, but I like Obama very much indeed. I won't be unhappy about either one getting the nomination and I hope whichever one does get the nomination takes on the other as their VP. That having been said, I have to say this:

Presidential campaigns are brutal. It takes a thick hide to get through one and no one gets through one unscathed - whether the accusations are right or wrong. This is only the beginning of what will be a very long and unavoidably harsh road for not only Obama, but Clinton and those on the other side of the equation as well. I have to disagree with you that inexperience has no other consequences other than to make one fresh and clear eyed and not bogged down by old ways of thinking. One way in which it will be a minefield for Obama will be the campaign process. This is a minor accusation that I imagine Obama will handle very well. There will be other infinitely more trying battles ahead, especially in the debates. This country is fickle when it comes to candidates that are fresh and idealistic. We cheer them on until they make their first misstep, then we fall away in fear that they are too politically naive to actually take on the responsibility of the top spot. Witness Howard Dean's war whoop. That's all it took and the guy was toast. Yet before that he was being practically worshipped by those who claimed he was the fresh perspective with new ideas that was exactly what this country needed. Maybe Obama will be the exception. JFK made it through with flying colors and took Nixon apart in the debates. I hope Obama does very well, he's going to be very valuable to this nation whether he takes the top spot, the second spot, or has to try again in the future.

I am the one who wrote that Obama question you talked about. I saw Jackson and Sharpton on TV putting down Imus, who deserved to be put down by the way, and then I saw Obama on TV doing the same thing. He put himself on the same stage with Jesse and Al. I don't think he thought that through too well, even if he really felt that way. I saw three black "leaders" on TV talking about Imus... it is hard not to group them together.

I think I am calming down a bit. I am a white guy that has NEVER used the "n" word in my entire life, or heard anyone in my family do so. I thought that we had maybe come a long way as a country, and I was actually thinking that Obama was a viable option for my vote. Then these black "leaders" come out of the wood work and make me feel that blacks and whites are still really far apart. I get angry...

If you are an Obama supporter, you need to stop being thin skinned about it. He will be the recipient or all kinds of criticism and slander. If he does not want Al or Jessie supporting him and does not want it to look like he has the same kind of agenda, then he needs to publicly state that they have no influence of his platform and they are not part of his campaign. Otherwise, people will lump them together just because they support him. As far as asking others to stop posting their opinions about Obama, you need to remember that this is America and that is one of the freedoms we enjoy. People have picked on every President and presidential hopeful we have ever had and that will never stop.

He is a member of those reverends congregations. Just like many people would not vote for Romney because he is a Mormon, people are entitled to criticize Obama because of the church he chooses to attend, whether it valid or not. Before you vote for somebody ask yourself what are their plans and how specific are they. Obama has good intentions but without specific plans he is just a stuffed suit, even though it is a very charismatic suit.

Minnesota elected an Islamic to the House, in your statement above, you said ..."I'm sick of the current adminstration"... We agree of course, but you don't address the fact of the rising Islam influences that Obama will cater to. Slowly they're taking over, and it will happen because of "voters" like you. -->Because . . .
. . . you've GOT to become an informed voter - we can't like a candidate just by his/her speeches...not alone by what we see on TV. Are those the reasons that you like him? Well what about his full, complete background?...back to his formative years while in elementary school and how he and his staff prepared him so that Americans would like him and his responses . . . and so that Americans would see him as a good President?!

Well, Obama is politician. And as politician who should think who is he associating him self with . By agreeing with Al and Jesse he (may be without knowing it) demonstrated that he is in the same boat. I am sure he is not but it sure appears to be that way.

I myself was a little disappointed in him acknowedging statements made by a radio talk show host. Do you remember when the Dixie Chicks kept slamming GW and all he had to say about it was "Whatever. They can say whatever they want. It's called Freedom of Speech", I thought that was the appropriate response.
