Good question. Aside from parents, I don't think that there is anything or anybody more influential than teachers. Good ones and bad ones. My best one was Mrs. Nelson. 6th grade. I was somewhat unruly, bored for the most part. She had a different attitude than my previous teachers. Instead of trying to mold me into the norm, she put me in the back row and let me grow a bit differently than the rest of the class. Let me grow and learn at a far quicker and faster pace. As she explained to my parents, I was her "little non-conformist", and there was really nothing to be done but let me go at my own pace. I doubt she would be allowed to do that today.

By her allowing me to do that, I had the confidence to drop out of school in the latter part of the 9th grade. Never to return. Left home, a very loving home, and learned much more on the road and around the country than I could have ever learned in school. Had not it been for her, I probably would have stayed in school, performed the necessary functions and ended up as a frustrated, bitter, and whipped individual.

That woman changed my life. She helped set me on a course that I am proud of and can hopefully assist others in.

God bless teachers. God bless Mrs. Nelson

My biology teacher from my sophmore year in high school. She always taught me to always follow my dreams, she was majorly suportive of everything. I was young back then and I thought I had fallen in love with this guy and he turned into a creep, when we broke up, I was devistated, and she was my shoulder to cry on. She was always curious about my life, she would ask about any new plays I've been in or any plays I've written.
I'm graduating from high school in a month and a half, and I know that's one of the teachers I'll miss.

One of my other teacher that has affected me was my math teacher, see here in texas we have this test called the TAKS test, and if you are a junior and you fail, you can't graduate. Well I failed the math section, but the good news was I could retake it in the fall. We'll I had the best teacher ever, she would go out of her way to explain the lesson, and needless to say I passed with flying colors. what was even better was she introduced me to my fiancee, we had to work in partners and she paired me with him.

I'll always be thankful to these two teachers

Ok getting off my soap box now! lol

Yes. The first was Ms. Hackett, an elementary math teacher. She helped me after I'd been injured due to abuse that made numbers & math difficult for me. She came to school an hour before session to tutor me privately, and she stayed an hour after school as well, for months until I was able to understand the subject & return to honors study.

The second was Mr. Christian. The abuse within the family was finally revealed & parentals separated. He went above and beyond, helping us to go into hiding and staying safe until law enforcement caught up with the father-figure. Mr. Christian in essence became my role model for how a father should behave & he continued coaching me from middle school, all the way through graduation and beyond until he died.

I had a few great teachers; one in particular taught me to persevere and to not give up and to organize. I still use what she taught me in 6th grade to this day.

Another taught me to appreciate history, something I really didn't care for at the time. By introducing the class to novels, set in or based on actual times in history, he made us interested. And again, to this day, I love Gone With the Wind, which is the book I read then. ☺

Do you've a scary instructor? i don't like the sound of this project. you're proper in what you've faith and could be in a position to particular your perspectives freely. Are you courageous sufficient to jot down why you imagine corporal punishment has no effective aspect? Are we speaking about hitting little ones? Or ought to the project be about the lashes that folk can receive in public for crimes dedicated in different international places? if it really is the case perchance you need to study no matter if the crime fee is going down or no longer after such punishments....

My 4th grade teacher. So giving of herself. We had this one boy in class, like Horseshack- when he wanted to answer a question he would raise his hand and "Oh,Oh!" trying to be called-quite annoying if you ask me well, rather than ignore him or immediately call on him, she worked with him and told him that she would NOT call on him if he continued to do that( he had done it for so long it was like a habit that even he wasn't aware of), the look of pride on his face after he learned to control himself- he almost forgot his answer. There was another girl that bit her fingernails and this teacher took a special interest in buying her a nail file kit and some pretty polish, problem solved. With me it was an adoption issue, back then it was still mom and dad at home and your brother was your full brother. She told me that rather than feel like someone "gave me up" for adoption, I was "chosen" by a family to love. It made me feel better, not immediately but for many years after that.GOOD WOMAN!!!

Some positive and some negative.

My English teachers were usually positive and were strict with their grading, grammer, spelling etc. which helped when I go to college. Good question.

Edit: oops, I meant GOT to college ;-)

I had a wonderful teacher who used to encourage me to read. He gave me books, he used to read my baby experiences with writing poems and short stories.. He once told me: " If you believe you’ll be something, you’ll be something. Believe in the power of will.".. He was more than great really. I’ll never forget him...

Many did. The things that they taught me and their enthusiams for the subjects they taught will be with me forever. However, one teacher, Mrs. Simmons believed in me at a time in my life when I didn't believe in myself. She always made me feel important and valued my opinions. She taught me perserverence and self-respect.
