I've been hearing this term the last few years, and I take it it's some teenage sub-culture, It didn't exist when I was in high school - anyone care to enlighten an old lady?

that's funny. I asked someone this last night. It seem the "emo" bands that we heard at this free concert were just modern punks. They are just more whiny.
