I myself am a part of all religions that promote helping others.

I do not set boundaries for body or mind to call myself a titled religion.

I have always felt, since I have always believed, that everybody and anybody has equal space as I do, that we are all equal.

Now to believe in Christianity is to believe in the doctrines of Jesus.

Although I am a realist I do believe in the doctrines of being good to others because I was born the same way that everyone else is. I don't screw over other people. I am not prejudice to any nationality. I do have a problem with inhumanity to man which we see everyday and it is our leaders that keep the ball rolling.

If we are to believe that God created everyone and everything than we are very amiss in our lives because we are now being led by money and there are many many so called Christians that, after church, leave it behind in their everyday life.

As a realist I believe in the NOW. What is going on in reality is not what is going on in religious beliefs.

The problems that we have in religion is that we think which ever one that we are in is the only one and the others are not valid to us. Most of the wars going on today are based on that premise because we have no respect for their beliefs because we don't want to understand theirs.

The happiness given by my Lord to me and all of his children makes me feel that I belong to the Christian community. The word 'christian' not only means the name of the religion but also means the shelter of many souls under Lord's arms.It gives a pleasant feeling to be recognized as a christian. Its not the matter of going to church simply and listening to the Gospel. But it extends to the matter of Faith,Love .Hope, divinity and so on.Iam witnessing the power of my Lord in my day-to-day life in each &every activity.A prayer with full devotion ,hope and concentration will bring answer to this question definitely.Praise the Lord!

I am a Hindu, but I felt that christainity is a wonderful religion emphasising compassion, charity, equality and devotion. I had great love and respect for Jesus and the Christian missionaries who taught me at school (despite their proseletysing).

However, after living in the US, I have realised that to feel Christian one needs to follow THREE principles ONLY
1) No abortion.
2) No homosexuality
3) No premarital sex

It is very sad that a religion based on the greatest of Prophets (jesus) has become a tool of opression and obscurantism!

I was taught that the word Christian meant a follower of Christ. People may describe themselves as Christian when they believe they are adhering to his teachings. Not everyone deciphers the scriptures the same way, so opposite behaviors could potentially be described as Christian by different faiths.
Personally I don't claim to be one any longer, because although I mostly behave in ways that are taught by Jesus, I no longer hold the beliefs of One powerful God, whose son died for my sins, and I will dwell with him in Heaven for eternity.

It's not a matter of feeling you are a Christian, it's a matter of knowing you are a Christian. You either are a Christian, and have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savior, or you aren't and haven't. There's no "feeling" about it. I'm not saying emotions are irrelevant to religion, but Christian or otherwise, if you base your entire faith on pure feelings, then it will never stand up to scrutiny and isn't worth having.

I really don't understand that faith, Christian or other religion, is really about a "feeling" but is a response of the will to a revelation and the acceptance of a particular purpose or mission as a consequence of this revelation.

What makes you a Christian? If you believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ. What makes you feel you are? If you develop a 'personal relationship' with Him.

Based on my experience dealing with "christians", i'd be moved to say: double digit i.q., easily brainwashed, live in the south, love nascar reruns on tv, obsessive about sex due to its having been so repressed in their "circle", and know that "looking down" upon anyone who has not been "saved" is fully justifiable and correct. Am i close? :)))

Personally, nothing makes me feel christian. I do like the way you put it though. It's probably uniintentionally truthful: "makes you feel". Have you thought that the way you ask it implies brainwashing?
